July 2, 2009, Dalian – Late June 2009, hiSoft Technology International, led by board chairman Mr. Sun Cheng-yaw and CEO Mr. Tiakkoon Loh, participated at the seventh annual China International Software & Information Services Fair (CISIS). hiSoft has been attending the annual fair since its inception and once again was recognized as one of the most successful exhibitors. CISIS is the only national level software fair approved by the State Council of China, promoting the development of China's software industry.
hiSoft made an impact at the tradeshow exhibition representing China's leading global IT outsourcing players. Honors were given from government officials, mainstream media, and global clients. Mr. Sun delivered speech at the top attended sub forum: China International Software & Information Service Outsourcing Summit. Together with six other top global companies, he discussed trends within China's IT Outsourcing industry under the current global economic climate. CEO Mr. Loh and SVP Ms. Sarah Bajc both presented at other sub-forums as well.
During CISIS, hiSoft also hosted a special forum on “Talent and Growth”, promoting the idea of powerful and strategic talent training to support the increasing demand for IT outsourcing services in China . Dalian Mayor Mr. Xia De-ren and hiSoft Chairman Mr. Sun both presented at the forum. Also during this event, hiSoft and IBM made a joint commitment to aggregate their efforts to improve the quality of IT development talent by leveraging IBM's award winning Rational methodologies together with hiSoft's unique training model at its training facility in Dalian - Dalian Software Industry Management Institute (SIMI).
As a highlight of the 4-day event, hiSoft invited industry known economist Mr. Larry Lang (Xian-ping Lang) to SIMI's seminar. There, he shared his thoughts on the current economic situation and new software and service outsourcing trends.
