September 2, 2009, Guangzhou China – hiSoft Technology International officially opened its Guangzhou delivery center today, to provide quality world-class business process outsourcing services to financial and insurance companies. The original focus of the new center is life insurance business processing with hiSoft's key client AIG, with specific focus in Japan. Initial services such as including POS, New Business Application, HK MPF enrollment, and contribution processing will be expanded to other services and related industries. The new center allows hiSoft to take advantage of high quality talent with lower costs in an important second tier city in China to provide one-stop ITO and BPO services for global clients.
hiSoft's service to AIG Edison began in year of 2002, which was initially aimed to do basic projects for system maintenance. That relationship has now expanded from simple information technology outsourcing to include more sophisticated support and business processing operations, including AIG Edison's centric system development, and its core business in personal and corporate insurance. With its increasing amount of business entrusted to hiSoft in recent years, AIG expects to further expand its business scale with hiSoft Guangzhou with an additional 200 people in the next two years.
